No offense to CC and Julia they're not good enough offensively to be set this much Charlie Orzol has been doing great. CC less so. But I think they are managing Devyn's physical problems. CC must have read this and took up the gauntlet |

Ugh, and of course Raven Colvin had to go have an 11 block night against Nebraska to make it even more difficult for CC 😐 but Colvin did go 5-1-20 or so.

Can someone going to the game please have a look at Una in warmups. I have high hopes that she's going to be ready to go by the middle of November. I think we're going to need her against the bigger and better teams in crunch time. I'm still not sold Julia up front. Yes, she has gotten some nice blocks, but she also gets tooled a lot by better players and struggles to terminate against better teams. Valid concern regarding Julia getting tooled by the better front line players too often. After the news came out about Una, our improvements will have to be in other areas such as a high level setting performance ( which Charlie is very capable of), and continuing to increase the serving pressure we place on other teams. I really wish Carter Booth could take that next step but that one slide last night was painful to watch. Carter Booth becoming a consistent offensive threat would also allow us to become not as predictable too defend at times. CC did wonderful last night but Maryland's front line and block left much to be desired. Let's see if CC can deliver similar results against Purdue, Nebraska or Penn State? It's why Carter Booth is key to us getting to our highest possible place this season. I'm gonna be 🙏 for an effective Booth slide. |
