You made a snide comment about Purdue, so I did what I had to do. It's called "cause and effect" 🥂 actually I was very nice to Purdue. Ask coachk2 me and him had a great in person discussion where I gave massive credit to Purdue ! Now ucla pissed me off last night so I’m canceling them Very true 😳 he is getting much better about really realizing how great Purdue is playing 😂 Now they should beat UCLA Thurs night to complete his transition 😂 Boiler Up 💛🚂🏐

The SMU season seems unexplainable - or at least I am open to an explanation? I think the Hawaii and LMU losses are odd based on the SMU talent, and quality wins they have achieved, but are explainable. c4ndle pointed out the 7 super seniors and they all were new to the SMU team so it may take several matches to get chemistry. First loss - 8/30 1st match of season ~ Hawaii 3-2 - Take 8 1/2 hour flight to Hawaii 8/28 and get in late afternoon. Try and get adjusted to time change and practice 8/29 and then play Hawaii 8/30. Even if Hawaii is going to be an average team... there are ranked teams that travel to Hawaii in pre-season and at least one always gets a loss. Last 10 years Baylor, UCLA, Florida, San Diego, Washington, USC, etc.. SMU had not had a game with their 8 new players yet and lost 3-2 but outscored Hawaii by double digits, out hit, dug, and blocked them but some how lost. Then play San Diego on 8/31 and win 3-1 ***Fly back 8 1/2 hours on 9/01 and get in late night to DFW and recover on 9/02 and practice. Then on 9/03 (less than 48 hours from being in Hawaii) destroy a #2 ranked Nebraska team that was in front of a crowd of over 6500 fans and anyone that was there will tell you it was about 50/50 Nebraska fans to SMU fans. This was an impressive win. Second loss - 9/7 LMU - Only way to explain this is poor scheduling with traveling to/from Hawaii and having 6 matches in 9 days and one of the nine days was an 8 1/2 hour flight back from Hawaii. After Nebraska win they had off on 9/04 but practiced; they had matches on 9/05, 9/06, and LMU on 9/07 and lost 3-2. They just ran out of steam. Third loss was to Kentucky and can't really explain that loss but Kentucky is a pretty good team and was ranked #10 at the time. SMU has swept Nebraska, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Syracuse. As long as everyone is healthy it will not surprise me if they beat Stanford this Wednesday.

No teams from the WCC or Big West ranked in the Top 25 but I would think maybe LMU, Washington St, Cal Poly and long Beach St would be in the Top 40.

So many teams can be placed in so many different spots as each week someone may be looking strong and then the next week they don't do as much. Also everyone matches up with other teams differently then others

creighton did better than Nebraska did against Purdue. The margins are razor thin at this point. Nebraska did better vs Creighton, than Creighton did vs Nebraska. it went 5, was super close, and was over a month ago. As I said it’s razor thin, but the most recent comparison data point has creighton just ahead for me

UNC Baylor (10-6, 2-3) over Utah (15-2, 5-1) is an interesting choice, especially after Utah just beat BU pretty handily. Tbh, I was pretty surprised to see Baylor ranked at all in the VT poll after 3 straight losses, but I did have them at #25 myself.

creighton did better than Nebraska did against Purdue. The margins are razor thin at this point. Nebraska did better vs Creighton, than Creighton did vs Nebraska. Nebraska beat Creighton in five at home. It could of went any other way. I would of had nebraska at 2 still, but its not inconvevable to have them ranked lower than creighton. This season teams are so tight, even the team we THOUGHT was unbeatable lost

This season teams are so tight, even the team we THOUGHT was unbeatable lost It is absolutely inconceivable to have them ranked below creighton lol. Nebraska has the head to head over creighton for the billionth time Nebraska swept Louisville in Louisville, who’s creighton’s only other loss Nebraska has less losses Nebraska has way more top wins (8 ranked wins versus 3) and creighton doesn’t even have the opportunity to get more from this point on bc of their conference
