Edit - the quoting didn't work for diggindeepbvb's Q on who the Florida Kid is. Thomas Wisniakowski is the former HVA Libero. He's committed to Ohio State for 2025

The libero from HVA moving to WPVC will have a big impact for that team. It was a weak spot for them and having a reliable player at libero could really impact how they can play. It will will come down to competing as much as possible. Their schedule is a lot of travel this year to find more competitive game that push them... Is the libero a Florida based kid? Yes, he lives in the panhandle - near Pensacola (basically between Winter park and Houston - far from both though).

This past weekend saw the first SoCal cup matches for high school ages. One parent who went to the 17/18 day said there were a lot of 3 game matches that featured wide swings, like 15-25/25-15/ 15-13 Not sure if that was nerves or substitutions, but appears there was a lot of inconsistency. For 15/16, Rockstar, Balboa and Coast 16s seemed to be a level above, but with a lot of close matches on most courts. It was nice to see the new UCLA coach Hawks out talking to club coaches. He was intently watching the battle of the teams with the giants, BBB16s vs Coast 16s. Attachments:
