1) MB Surf 2) Balboa Bay 3) Bay To Bay 4) Rockstar 5) MVC (assuming the core came over from Sting) 6) HVA 7) Academy 8) Winter Park 9) Adversity South 10) MVVC 11) 630 12) Coast 13) MVVC 14) SASVBC 15) Vanguard Only team I added not mentioned prior is 630 and I am assuming they have the same group back. Like every year, lots of good teams, 1-5 are my the favorites to medal each tournament but in 6-15 there will be a lot of shifting with potential to medal occasionally. There are at least 5 more teams not listed that will challenge for top 8 finishes. Unfortunately 630 apparently lost their best player to Adversity, so they will probably not be quite as strong as last year. But yes there are def few dark horse teams that may push in there, the LB Pacific Classic and Indy will tell respectively who else are potentially contending.

I agree, he is a a very good libero which was a weakness for that team last year. Last year this group kept adjusting to address that gap and with a consistent line up I believe they could surprise a few this year. The key for them will be to play as many high level teams as possible as Florida and southeast in general is not very competitive. No doubt that Balboa Bay/ MB Surf/ Rockstar and Bay to Bay are the front runners for this season though IMO.

They fell short the last couple of seasons and have under performed.

So did all the teams but BB/B2B/Surf to a lesser extent and those three were more consistent on keeping their level high in tournaments through the last day.

Even though they did pick up Cryst, they have not done anything special since 16’s year.

Odd take, they won Chi-Town and Winter Formal at the beginning of 17U. 9th at Open Championship in Jan 2024, 5th at Showcase June 2024, and 5th at AAU Nationals July 2024. Then added Cryst who is probably the best middle in the class of 2025 ahead of Payne.

They have Lopes too, and if you haven't seen Cryst play since last year you may think differently after you do. Last year in 17s BB won the first 2 tournaments of the season, they made gold the next 2, plus nationals. They could have done better but they were not an easy team to beat and those results are something.

Agree that BB last season was not perhaps what they wanted but Jack Loper and Cryst are significant additions, and believe that BB should be in the top three.

I for certain would've thought BB to put up a bigger fight.

One thing of interest from Illinois. Was looking at the points series results, Adversity South has been running away with it, but MOD 16s are playing in 17/18 open and have been competitive against every 18-1s team that they’ve faced except for Adversity South.
