MB Surf looking strong... Yep, I saw this result too. Anyone there at the tournament? I for certain would've thought BB to put up a bigger fight. The the 3 top teams can all beat each other but I stand by my order, the 3 day events are a better test of a team's depth and coaching staff. Last years BB17 team didn't shine during the 1 day events but took care of business in the first 2 3 day events. Rockstar is still a wild card and the teams under them are decent. These 1 day events are a big advantage to these teams to play a lot of matches against top competition early in the season. The socal 17 teams really get battle tested.

One thing of interest from Illinois. Was looking at the points series results, Adversity South has been running away with it, but MOD 16s are playing in 17/18 open and have been competitive against every 18-1s team that they’ve faced except for Adversity South. Word is that coaches feel this is one of the lowest levels of competition at the point series. No shock that South is running away with it. They added the oppo from 630. The format is not advantageous for out of state competition to come and participate, so it relies on the Chicago market on the depth of the series.

With how many kids from that MOD team were offered free dues again its not surprising they are doing well. Kids who are making super teams where a few aren't even paying for it losses some of the appeal. I wish this stuff would stop but seems to be where the game is going.

At that point they should be considered professionals and lose their amateur eligibility status.

What do you call it when 3 kids on that team don't have to pay club fees that everyone else does? A normal club team? lol I don’t think MOD is flying anybody out from California like B2B was trying to do. Secondly, you have three posts on a brand new account, be a little less obvious that you’re associated with a different club in the area.

I thought it was basically the same, but I’m not as familiar with the younger ages.

Maybe your the one who is paying Trace & Gloire's club dues. Or, maybe that's why MOD had to fire its staff!
