It feels like there is no margin for error in retaining a 12-16 NCAA seed. Barring an unforeseen injury/collapse an Oregon win would seal the deal.
Will we have a healthy Grote?
If not, I hope D balls (backing up Crowl), particularly when Acevedo is behind the line can help.
Wookie's pipes looked GREAT vs NW
I was hoping for more MB focus, but it was rather underwhelming. Phoebe had a great termination on 1 quick, but hasn't been a reliable floor denter.
Shaff cannot just hang a back set up to Minatee and expect a kill. Could be wrong, but most of Minatee's 'issues' seems to be connection related.
Give OSU more to think about with back 2s instead of a 100% slide plays.

I think most/all of us Gopher fans have been hoping for more back row offense as the season has progressed. I grabbed these numbers from evollve.net and posted them before the match vs. Northwestern on Wednesday. Back row only hitting % for the season: Crowl: .600 on 5 swings Acevedo: .250 on 8 swings Hanson: .234 on 64 swings Wucherer: .077 on 13 swings Grote: -.025 on 40 swings Here are the numbers now. Crowl: .600 on 5 swings (same) Acevedo: .100 on 10 swings Hanson: .239 on 67 swings Wucherer: .200 on 15 swings Grote: -.025 on 40 swings (same) In total, 137 back row attacks as a team this season out of 2,307 attacks (or 5.9% of total offense). More more more! Both Wucherer and Hanson have been effective there recently. To put that in perspective, we all know Londot is a go-to for the Buckeyes. Her back row attempts alone make up for 9.3% of Ohio State's team offense. 229 back row swings of 2471 total team attacks. 26.3% of her own swings are back row attacks. Hanson has had the most Gopher back row swings and they make up 10.7% of her own attacks. I wish I kew if Grote has a ton of kills but also a ton of errors on her 40 back row swings or just a lot of non-terminal swings. I don't remember. I think it has been mostly in serve receive from middle back. Some transition D balls after serving sprinkled in? Her back row attacking has pulled her overall hitting % down. She would be hitting .262 this season minus her back row attacks. She's at .248 |

There was a bat at an OSU game around 2016 back in St. Johns. I don't remember who it was against, but it was probably Minnesota since multiple people have memories of it. |

tOSU is playing like a spoiler team lately.
