Did the coaches tell them to tip more? Lydia rarely tips

All the tipping from the Gopher outsides has to stop. Its basically just a free ball. This gets me all the time. I understand that sometimes you have to tip it, but you can still try to put it in a corner, or where someone is not. The Gophers seem to just plop it over right to them every time.

Mel setting has been bad so far. I mean… has a single ball gone anywhere near her? Can’t set unless you get a settable ball.

This is going to be a quick sweep if they don’t change something. Unacceptable play all around

Mel setting has been bad so far. Difficulty bettering awful passes, but yes. Ohio State is NOT good. MN's ability to make them look like it is actually impressive.

Why not bring in McGhie and Crowl just to try and change things up this set.

Please don't let this be the match where the Gophers are like "nah I'd rather play on the road the first weekend of December."
Not that a seed has been guaranteed up to this point. But a loss to a team at the bottom of the B1G ain't cute after the committee slotted us at 16 in their reveal.
Yes, only the first set, but start playing better ASAP lol

Easy to read when her hand opens up and arm mechanics change a good half second to a second before contact. Also easy to read when every tip goes to the 3 meter line or slightly further in the same exact spot. That's picked up right away from the scouting report when teams watch film. I question what the coaching has been doing when they haven't been able to teach them to power tip down the high line, tip to the sharp angle, tip less, and disguise their offspeed.

tuning in late so this may have been discussed already but uh this camera work makes this borderline unwatchable
