Penn State is in the top three. Louisville has lost to every team above them (including getting demolished by Penn State), so they are fourth. Louisville has shown a lot of improvement since Sept 3rd. In watching their game against Pittsburgh they showed a lot of resilience and they certainly played the number 1 team in the country on the road a lot better than Penn State. I don't like how Penn State plays to the level of their competition some times and in the tournament that is the type of stuff that can sneak up on you. Penn State has a really high ceiling and the game the end of year vs Nebraska should be a great barometer of where both teams are at. Don’t think playing to the level of competition will sneak up with them, their poor play is mainly on the road and they won’t have to deal with that for four rounds. Geography means their first two rounds will be quite easy, though Yale is a tougher team than most think. I do see their matchup with a more experienced Stanford or Creighton team in the Elite 8 as a toss up, but the same can be said for Louisville. There’s very little separating anyone in the 3-7 range right now.

That is fair. The top two seem to be a level above everyone else at this time. The teams I would want to avoid for as long as possible are SMU and Texas. They are both capable of beating anyone
