Utah State and Boise State are fine to forfeit if they choose, but I would prefer them to do it pre-tournament to not take away opportunities. Let UNLV (who is playing better!) and New Mexico play in the tournament instead. It is pretty ironic that the ones crying about her taking away a single roster spot among 300+ NCAA teams are now taking away a championship opportunity from 2 full teams who actually want to be there.

Karma is a b*tch and now let’s see the chicken sh*t schools end their kids seasons by forfeit or prove that it was all political BS and just kidding we will play you when it really matters and the election is over. It is tough enough for the young women of BSU, Utah State and Wyoming to lose a match when they play, I am quite certain that it was even tougher to forfeit matches they believe they could win if they had played. No matter what their decision regarding playing in the MWC, they backed up their words with action. The real losers are the people who besmirch the character of these young women simply because you disagree with them. They can receive props when they follow through and forfeit again when things are really on the line and as others have said- allow other teams in your place in the championship. I actually understand their argument and believe that any form of protest is welcome. Be consistent and it’s a real protest. Play against SJSU in the playoffs and you’re ‘a tool’ both literally and figuratively. It should also be known that the state legislators and the higher ups in the schools also weighed in and applied pressure to the teams and these young women who signed up to play volleyball not politics (although some may be political science majors?)

Im anticipating Utah State loses again (at least once) and SJSU has the tiebreaker Colorado State beats Utah State Utah State beats Wyoming Boise State beats Fresno State San Diego State beats New Mexico and Air Force That puts the seeding as follows: 1. Colorado State, 2. San Jose State, 3. Utah State, 4. Fresno State, 5. San Diego State, 6. Boise State SJSU would bye/forfeit their way to the final, which might not be ideal depending on your philosophy. 😏

They will no doubt announce their decision soon after the judges ruling.

Anyway, I'd like to go on a unanimous route here. If some players don't want to play - sit out? I'd feel like a crappy team-mate if my teammates wanted to play and I wanted to forfeit (we know some decisions at schools are unanimous). So, if it was that big of a deal to me as a person, I would tell coach I'd like to sit out but I'd like to give my teammates the opportunity to play.

It’s especially sad because I know the Wyoming head coach and I’m like 80% sure she doesn’t agree with the forfeits or the boycott as well … they were just pressured by the governing body of Wyoming

Decision made. Judge denies motion. Forfeits stay losses and Blaire is eligible to play in MWC tournament Now what are Boise State and Utah State gonna do? Drama! Treat their game against each other as a championship match, since it's the final match for both teams.
