uh, she's medically retired, and lost the L jersey early in the season... I’m lost who is this poster referring to? Couldn’t watch the match today. Caroline Barnes played libero for Illinois for a number of years. She is Lauren Barnes’ little sister (hence Baby Barnes). I didn’t know she had medically retired and now feel stupid about it. She was an excellent libero. I watched the game and figured she must have graduated, otherwise she’d be back there. Then I checked the Illini roster and saw she was still on it. I was confused and folks set me straight. |

Anna has been around for 4 years, you would think the announcers would get her last name right by now. it's not shsmrek...

Haven't been on this thread long, why is GG not playing? I notice GG sitting on the bench in the middle of the Nebraska match, with what appeared to be something around her waist. Massager, heating pad, TENS unit… not sure what it was, but sitting solo on the bench seemed outside of the norm for her. IIRC there was a ball that both her and Chuck went for on Friday, and they seemed to collide. She might have injured herself during that play. |
