I think Penn State, Louisville, Creighton, Texas, Kansas, Purdue, and SMU are all capable of beating Pitt/Nebraska if the stars align. And that list isn’t even exhaustive - there are other capable teams as well (insert line about parity here lol). Once teams are in the tournament the slate is essentially wiped clean and anything can happen. Even with the losses they’re taking now, I would be really scared to play Texas in December. They can become a completely different team in the tournament, especially when hungry for a three-peat, and a lower seed might help them with matchups. It ain’t over ‘till it’s over. Leaving Stanford out is certainly a choice Stanford isn’t good

Hopefully those reliable Stanford pins can keep improving so they'll no longer lose to Miami 🙏 😀. Stanfords really had a proven track record since Plummer graduated! And so has Nebraska since we unceremoniously ended Foeckes career! I’m glad that they were barely able to beat a Nebraska team with Sun and Sweet as pins and Hames as a setter. Hopefully you can continue to reminisce on those matches as your current pins continue to flop in the elite eight despite having the best setter ever 👏

You mean like last year when Texas was stinking it up and everyone thought WI NE? 🤣

Louisville will most likely be at home the whole tournament and Scott and Debeer are hungry to win a title in their home city and last season, not counting them out lol.

You mean like last year when Texas was stinking it up and everyone thought WI NE? 🤣 This seems like revisionist history. Texas only had four losses and just one in conference. They've lost three just in the last week or so.

There are almost no combinations of teams that I could imagine that be more vomit-inducing than Pitt/Nebraska.

As long as we can all agree no one wants to play SMU or Texas before getting to the Final Four. Both teams have the talent to beat anyone.

Good chance, barring injuries. Then again, last year I thought it was a cinch that Neb & Wisc would meet in the finals. I'd go with Louisville as the top contender to pull off the upset, but I really want Creighton (if it can't be Minnesota). Penn state losing may move Louisville up moving them to a final matchup. Elite 8 could now be Creighton, Stanford or PSU.

Can someone tell us why Texas isn't as good this year? Is someone injured?

Texas just doesnt have the same chemistry they had the last couple seasons. O’Neil was a heck of a player but most of their lineup from last season is on the roster. I have expressed my input elsewhere on the forums and people didn’t like what I had to say but the proof is in the pudding. It only takes on bad egg to ruin things.
