Honestly, this is such a GREAT hire by Loyola. So happy to have Shane back on the men's side.

Wow, didn’t see anyone getting him back from the women’s side. Not sure why he wasn’t at northwestern anymore and I’m sure he didn’t want to relocate his family. There’s no other major school in Chicago for him to go to on the girls side besides Loyola, so why not for both parties bring him back to the side he was most successful at.

Ya it makes a lot of sense. Give home some time to rehab his image, obviously Loyola would gladly have him back, and I’m sure there’s more money for him this time around just because I would imagine the department as a whole has more money after the success men’s basketball has had there.

A .300 conference winning percentage and a .427 overall winning percentage(worse on both accounts than his predecessor) is why he isn’t at northwestern. I hope he is able to re-create the magic that he had at Loyola before. We’ve seen a couple coaches on the women side go back and be successful at their previous programs….(Horsman, Carlson)

My "I am not sure why" was in response to the guy saying they were shocked he didnt want to go back to the girls side and leave that area.

Was the lawsuit filed against him and NU admins ever resolved? I'm not finding anything.

Oh no, a player had to run suicides and do the coach-on-one drill? 😳
