UC Santa Barbara will be looking for a 3rd Assistant (Volunteer) starting in January. Start date is flexible from January to May depending on your situation. There will be camp compensation that can be negotiated and will have upside based on our total camp numbers and income. Please reach out to matt.jones@ucsb.edu if interested with a resume and references.
PS: If anyone is looking for an up and coming full-time assistant coach, our departing 3rd Assistant, Alec Straw, is looking and would be a great option for you to consider.

I remember asking Mary years ago if her players had any idea who she was. Her response was a long the lines of "lol of course not."

So.... you could have Elon or UNCW as a head coach. Same league but is one a better job or are they both about the same. I've been to UNCW but not Elon.

Recruiting 16 and 17 year old girls to live on the beach? I know nothing about budgets or facilities, but it seems like UNCW should be able to attract talent.

No news today? Many of the worst mid-majors had their seasons end this past weekend if they failed to qualify for their conference tournament. It may be why they are the worst. They don’t really care, and many are just happy to have coaches.

Is Fernando really gonna juggle Evansville/pro team/Korean national team? He is leaving Evansville and he has informed the administration since summer that this will be his last season. He is done with college volleyball

UNCW is the more desired location. Elon is a very expensive private school that I don’t believe fully funded scholarships for volleyball (this may have changed in the last couple of years). UNCW is the cheap public school.

When Ozols was hired they cut the scholarships “to be more competitive.” Then I think they trimmed the salary for the same reason. If basketball wins, everything else will be fine. When basketball struggles, everybody has to cut back.

Six years?!? If somebody asked, I would have said that McCray was still at Panola College.

Wow. Not a winning season in sight. The website allows you to go back to 2007. Not a single winning season. And most of them well below. Probably 80% single digit wins.
