Shaffmaster hasn't been good either while we're bringing up all the team's problems. But she’s never been good on the run, she clearly doesnt trust her hitters or ability to get the ball to them. The few times she got a pass she looked good. Unless she's being coached to go slower tempo than her OHs are expecting in transition or being coached to set Grote a high ball at the 3 meter line consistently, no she has not been good. Her defense was poor the entire night and her block has been below expectation this entire year. Maybe it doesn't look half bad if you just focus on the Gophers and the Gophers alone but compared to setters at comparable programs around the nation, her setting isn't good.

How long is Cook’s contract for? It is so worrisome how much worse our teams get throughout the year under him. I was just going to ask a general question on this. Do you think he isn't good enough to coach in the Big Ten? (yes I know, the irony of UDub winning) Just seemed more successful in the PAC? is he developing the Gopher talent? Didn’t his teams get progressively worse at UW too? I don’t remember if Hoffman, EMP, or Dreschel were his recruits.

Go Dawgs! Love the confidence that Leslie gives her team to play hard every point. Great win!

Just curious as I have strong opinions on this (but realize there are exceptions ala Sheffield): Has Keegan ever played volleyball at a semi competitive level?

At the risk of sounding petty, I'm delighted that LeslieG was able to go on the road and give KCook an L. And doing it without Barton! Most consistent play I've seen from UW this year. 13 aces certainly helped, too. UW convincingly won the serve-pass game.

13 aces certainly helped, too. UW convincingly won the serve-pass game. I did not see the whole match but this is the most amazing thing of all given our serve receive woes and the fact we are missing the two six-rotation pin hitters we have relied on for serve receive almost the entire season.

But yeah, other than the covid years, the team was really not the same after JMac. (Red is the KCook years at UW).

Some coaches treat their jobs like running a business. I’d like to see Keegan do that too if he wants to be successful. Don’t bring this program down Keegan, make some changes

Needs to do that for more then serving subs and middle.
