As a Gopher fan I hope we can get to 15 points each set. I have a feeling this one will be over quickly. MN just doesn't have the passing or defense to hang.

I am not a Minnesota fan, but I agree with you. Last night I finally had a chance to sit down and watch last Saturday's Minnesota-Oregon match. I imagine that was brutal to watch if you are a Minnesota fan. Oregon just crushed them. Minnesota did not play well in any phase of the game...and this was a Minnesota home match. Nebraska is much better than Oregon. Minnesota will have to play a lot better than they have recently to have a chance in this match. Maybe Minnesota plays better on the road than at home? IDK

My official prediction is a sweep, but I think MN makes it to 20 each set and one goes to extras.

Poor passing and ineffective serving can be corrected. Activating the middle to open angles for pin hitters hasn't been a MN strength most of the year. Nor has there been much evidence of an uptempo attack or consistent back row attack.
No better time to go for it, Gophers.

Why do I have a feeling Minnesota will suddenly play well anyways it's giving a husker sweep. PS. Landfair is about to pop off.

I think Minnesota could snag the first set. It's not uncommon for opponents to come out really strong against Nebraska and play fearless in that first set, ripping their shots regardless of the block, and just going for it on serves. The fact they're coming off of 2 poor performances, I'm sure they'll be fired up. The Landfair inclusion just makes it a little more spicey for them. Nebraska 3-1. Maybe, but Nebraska has rolled through all of their B1G opponents in set 1, aside from Michigan. Wisconsin, Purdue and UCLA also got to the 20's. Hoping the Gophers can reach 20 in at least one set.

Cook just can't help himself, he's got to make a dig at MN. Mentioning that it was Taylor's best birthday she's ever had in college. I will give J. Cook credit for not letting her pass, which is what K. Cook should have done last year. Taylor and Lindsay compete for the same starting role. Lindsay started at the beginning of the season, the last 9 matches Taylor has started. Lindsay organized Taylor's team birthday stuff. Coach Cook was complimenting Lindsay on her commitment to the team. Was not a slight on MN.

Nebraska has 4 straight sweeps. They have not strung together 5 straight sweeps yet this season, so I think Minnesota, who is due to get hot, gets a set tonight.
