Nice bounce back week for Kansas.
It is easy to look at last week and say that Kansas must have played bad - but that really wasn't the case. The loss to Arizona State had two deuce sets lost against a very good team. Then a close 5 set loss to Arizona who played an outstanding match.
Nice bounce back match today from Davis after Wednesday. Kansas really needs to get some more consistent efficiency from their middles and Davis going forward - like they were getting at the beginning of the year.

Great to see Kansas get the convincing sweep here.
I was surprised by the box score because it didn’t seem like Elnady and Bien hit that bad. I think an underrated part of their game is the tips they have that cause chaos defensively for the other team. Sometimes, and particularly in the case of Bien, they aren’t even trying to be terminal but they give KU an easy pass for the next ball where they can be more terminal.
Again, different style of play - a lot different than the powerful hitters you see in the Big Ten who take cross court rip after cross court rip.
This works, of course, because Turner also makes really good decisions often times in transition and KU’s defensive passing is top notch.

Watching the impact of Elnady vs. her ending stats is a complete disconnect. Whether the stats are there or not - she has been playing very well for 3 or 4 weeks now.

Impressive win today. I knew they’d bounce back quickly. One of the benefits of being a GREAT passing team is you never stay in a rut very long.
