** Promotion Event: Senior Night ** π Since 1977, Florida is 57-4 against the Tigers. Auburn is looking for their third ever win at home against Florida (1990 and 2015) but do have a 2023 sweep at Florida in the win column. Eight of the last 10 matches have been sweeps, seven in Florida's favor. This is the second meeting in 2024 after Florida won 3-0 ( -14, -18, -19) in the O'Dome on Nov 8. π This is the first SEC match between Auburn and Oklahoma. Oklahoma leads the overall series 2-1 since 1979 and is looking for their first home win against the Tigers after losing the only other in 1990. AU and OU have not met since 2011 when the Sooners swept on a neutral court at UMiami. βοΈ Next up: Florida hosts UCF for Senior Night on Saturday 11/23 in a non-conference match. Auburn closes out SEC play at Mizzou on Saturday 11/30. Oklahoma has their last SEC match in Arkansas on Wednesday 11/27. ποΈ Auburn previewποΈ Florida previewποΈ Oklahoma preview SEC Standings*

Auburn started the season 14-2. They have now have lost 8 straight. What has happened? When I saw them on Minnesota's schedule I wasn't thrilled for our RPI since they lost multiple starters to the transfer portal, but then I got hopeful they'd be a surprise RPI gold mine after beating FSU in non-con and upsetting Kentucky in 5 sets to start off SEC play. I like their defense. They have a few veterans but also multiple green freshman in important roles. They have some good pieces. Dacosta was a great get from Baylor. I can't say I've paid super close attention though. I'm pretty sure the line-up has been mostly consistent besides freshman middles Moore and Havlicek sharing time. If they don't break the streak vs Florida, 9 will be the new longest losing streak in the Crouch era after Auburn went 0-8 in Fall 2020 his first season (aside: I forgot Auburn opted out of the spring half of the SEC COVID season). At least they shouldn't be worried yet about touching the record losing streak of 26 from 2001 to 2002.

Preview articles added to the first post. Paul and Missy will be calling tomorrow's match on the Plains. Bella Bell (RS), Fallan Lanham (L/DS), Chelsey McCurdy (MB), and Paige Thibault (L/DS) will be honored for Senior Night. This class was part of Auburn's first ever back to back years of 20 wins and tournament appearances. Florida has 6 with either senior, RS senior, grad, or 5th year next to their name on the roster that might get a shout out? AC Fitzpatrick (OH), Trinity Adams (DS), Gabrielle Essix (MB), Erin Engel (S), Isabel Martin (OH), and Elli McKissock (L).

Florida has their own Senior night Yes but some teams do give a small flower arrangement or something to visiting seniors too. Mostly just wasnβt sure who if any from the Florida roster would get a shout out but gave my best guess haha
