There's surely something to nitpick, but I feel pretty good about it. 1 Nebraska 2 Pittsburgh 3 Louisville 4 Penn State 5 Creighton 6 Stanford 7 Arizona St 8 Wisconsin 9 SMU 10 Kansas 11 Purdue 12 Texas 13 Oregon 14 Kentucky 15 Georgia Tech 16 Dayton 17 Utah 18 Florida 19 Baylor 20 TCU 21 Missouri 22 USC 23 Minnesota 24 North Carolina 25 Loyola Marymount Because you asked.. Penn State 4 above Wisconsin when they were swept pretty handily?  |

Penn State 4 above Wisconsin when they were swept pretty handily? Hard part is Louisville beat Wisconsin 3-1, PSU beat Louisville 3-0 and Wisconsin beat PSU 3-0. Yes the first 2 matches were early in the season but they still count. |

Because you asked.. Penn State 4 above Wisconsin when they were swept pretty handily? Hard part is Louisville beat Wisconsin 3-1, PSU beat Louisville 3-0 and Wisconsin beat PSU 3-0. Yes the first 2 matches were early in the season but they still count. True, but there is a direct head to head and that should have more weight than a transitive relation based on multiple matches. |

I, personally, think Wisconsin is a better team than Penn State, but I understand why someone might rank Penn State considerably higher than Wisconsin. Wisconsin has 5 losses; Penn State only has 2. Even with the head-to-head victory, it is hard to overcome all those losses. |

I, personally, think Wisconsin is a better team than Penn State, but I understand why someone might rank Penn State considerably higher than Wisconsin. Wisconsin has 5 losses; Penn State only has 2. Even with the head-to-head victory, it is hard to overcome all those losses. Nailed it. The head-to-head was pretty decisive and Wisconsin's losses were early (except for Nebraska), but they still exist. Until Penn State drops a few more matches and Wisconsin keeps winning, PSU has the cleaner resume. It's a shame we don't get a rematch between them this year. |
