Never felt good about this one going in. We drew a young team peaking late season, playing on its home court with lots to prove and nothing to lose. I am more positive about the three matches ahead. I believe that UW has at least one more superlative match in the tank to pull off a minor upset (or major against Penn State) and earn their way into the post season.

While I root for all non Nebraska teams versus PSU, due to decades of torture for Wisconsin, I hope Washington beats USC! While, as a night shift worker, I do enjoy late BTN volleyball matches here in the midwest, I would have preferred rationality to continue, and I blame USC and UCLA for that not being the case, so I now root against them! Oregon and Washington just did what they had to after that, no animus there.

It wasn't the loss. It was the performance.
25-11; 25-22; 25-19. And sets 2 and 3 weren't as competitive as the score indicates.

The Huskies intentionally laid an egg with inept play against Ohio State to lull Penn State into looking past them to focus on their next match against Nebraska. Now let's all sit back and watch this shrewd strategy pay off.
