Tali with 22 digs and Tayli with 18 digs in this pillow fight. Stella did a good job managing her offense while showing some offensive spark. I also enjoyed watching Adrianna. She moves like she knows what she is doing. It was also nice to see other players like Maddie, Tyla and Morgan get their feet wet.
GO BOWS!

Lol I’m guessing it was a bit on the “eh sure girl why not” as far as a walk on. She’s size to see on the block in practice, and thasssitt True but I can see why some posters are taking offense with Robyn's roster. I'm sure that Tyla and Morgan are great young women but their play is not indicative of a Rainbow Wahine. Totally understand that. Like I get giving chances to those who really want to be a wahine but definitely need to set the bar higher, especially if walk ons are becoming a thing of the past.

The color announcer seemed like she didn't like the sloppy play. She wasn't wrong per se, Hawaii is capable of playing cleaner, but it's tough to be up when there's such an obvious skill gap between your opponents. The team did what it could, and I thought the game plan looked pretty conservative--serves were dialed back a bit and the hitters weren't taking a lot of risk-taking swings. (I did roll my eyes once at Tali's 20th rollshot--but I get the were confident their defense could carry them and the were right)
There is a huuuuge setting gap between Lang and the field now. I guess I'd be ok with a 6-2 next season but I also think Matias's future might be as a DS in the future (assuming she can pass).

That will be interesting--18 roster sizes with (potentially 18 scholarships). What do you with your walk ons next season? Maybe nothing because everyone else could be offering more scholies too and the portal could end up being super competitive.

It would be hard to walk on at UH if another school is offering a free ride.

Even big name schools in the power 4 may hold off. We will see I hope we can fund all of it though, that will be a huge selling point for us

I think Robyn said on Tunnel Talk that her ideal roster number is 13 or 14. I hope the AD situation gets sorted out so the team does have the booster $ to make things work.

What's that like? 2 setters, 4 middles, 2 DS, 6 wings? That's just enough for A vs B
but at least all girls will get on-court practice time every day
