Hopefully Stafford has another great match at NC State. The fact she doesn’t have a POW award this year is criminal.

I think the logic is that, with Tautua’a RSing, it’s imperative for Buzlutepe to get reps in the case that Fairbanks suffers an injury. But I don’t know, if that god forbid happens it seems like you might have to break the redshirt or see if Stafford can still set at an elite level. Babcock does not have a good connection with Nisa at all. making one of the best OHs in the country set would be dumb. They need her and hitting and passing

I'm thinking Fairbanks might not be 100% if they keep resting her. Didn't she play injured in the tournament last year? Seems precautionary at the least.

Fairbanks is wearing compression items on her leg, but she is moving well. She flies around the court like a libero, so I think it's just to prevent an injury in a game where she is not needed for the win.

Which is fine if you can get away with it. I assume if Wake had won a set, she'd have played. The concerning thing to me about Olivia is that she doesn't tend to have great connections with setters other than Rachel. It was true with Nisa last night. It was true last year with the national team with Miner and Tuaniga.

Babcock was not great with the national team but remember she’s 19 in her 4th year playing volleyball. She also didn’t hit off Tuaniga. Fairbanks is a great location setter, but I think it’s fair to assume Babcock will learn how to to adjust to less consistency
