If Nebraska wins this match, will the B1G give the conference trophy to Nebraska in PSU’s third-world locker room for visiting teams like it did last year at Iowa City? Penn State... you know EXACTLY what to do Sorry Penn State’s classic gym locker rooms in Rec Hall are not up to Nebraska’s standards. I’m sure if you were in your first world locker rooms when you received the trophy you would be no less insufferable. Any visiting fans of the opposing team who come to a Nebraska volleyball match know they will never be given a good seat near their team, but instead will be shoved into the rafters. That’s not first world hospitality. Well-said. Also apparently the "third-world locker rooms" at Iowa are not up to snuff, either...in a facility that just was built four years ago, mind you. Sheesh...I'm shocked that we even have running water, heat and paved floors in there!! Insufferable, indeed.

I don't think this is going to be that close. As a fan of volleyball, hopefully it turns into a real back-and-forth 5 setter, but there's a discrepancy in the way these teams have been playing as of late.

Since it's at Penn State, I think it could be more competitive, though I still picked Nebraska in four.

GBR!
PSU had $9 GA tickets for sale the day the committee rankings came out, Sun Oct 20. I thought about getting a pair even thou its a 5-6 hour drive and on black friday. But I didn't and tried on Monday, sold out but $24 on seatgeek, by the weekend they were $100+ and have been since then.

The last time Nebraska lost a set on the road was Sep 3rd to SMU.

Nebraska has played up to their talent this season. Penn State has often played above their talent level this season. They would need to do that Friday to have a chance. Nebraska’s players, a plethora of tall, fit, elite blockers and passers look they’ve been cut from the same mold. Cook obviously looks for a physical type, and it’s working.

All I ask is for this NOT to be a sweep... please let this match be some good, exciting, high level volleyball 😁

No one plays "above" their talent level. Penn State just hasn't played up to theirs as frequently as Nebraska has. However, I have a feeling they'll come pretty close to it on Friday. Lots of motivation for the Nittany Lions vs the Huskers that they probably weren't tapping into against Iowa and Washington.

As a fan of this sport, who wants to see volleyball get the attention, facilities, and resources it deserves, are you actually defending PSU’s facilities for visiting teams or justifying their very poor conditions because Nebraska doesn’t place visiting teams’ fans courtside? 🤨 A visiting player (not from Nebraska) once contracted tetanus from leaning against a rusty locker with a wet jersey that was covering an open floor burn, and another player (also not from Nebraska) got mold poisoning for being in the visitors’ locker room too long. 😷 As a fan of volleyball, I’d still place visiting teams’ fans in an upper section of a sold-out Devaney instead of inviting teams to use facilities that likely aren’t meeting health code standards. Priorities, I guess. 🤪

This is Big Ten #1 vs Big Ten #2. Of course Penn State has a chance to win. I think Massey places Penn State's chances of winning at close to 30%

We can agree to disagree, but I think we can find common ground in the statement that nothing really good happens in a Penn State locker room. 😤🙅

I would say this is the best shot PSU has had since the last time we beat Nebraska in 2018. FWIW, that same season Minnesota looked to win the B1G with an undefeated conference record, but Penn State beat them 3-2 in Rec Hall on Black Friday.

Yo, this is so, so uncalled for. As if anyone associated with the PSU volleyball program had anything to do with this. I love some good ol' rivalry trash talk, but there's a line.
