I like her as a backup depending on how far each team goes. I think KSC deserves it. I would vote... 1. KSC 2. Erger 3. KBB 4. The Arizona St coach (sorry, I can't remember his name). It probably should go to whoever wins the Natty, but that's not the way it works.

I enjoy when people realize their favs and preordained champs have actual vulnerabilities. Would you say this if 2-time champ Texas were involved? Considering the number of vulnerabilities Texas has this year, I don’t think Texas fans have much left to realize on that front.

I finally read through the entire thread; boy, was that long. After set one, I was tempted to gather all the comments from those who believed Nebraska would easily defeat Penn State and respond with a clever rebuttal. However, as I watched the second set, I had a change of heart. I decided that even if Penn State were to win, I wouldn't engage in that kind of behavior because I don't appreciate it when others do it to me. We often engage in hostile behavior towards each other on this platform, creating a negative and unpleasant environment. Instead, I told myself that I'd be content with whatever the outcome may be. Congratulations to Nebraska for consistently putting up a strong fight and serving as a benchmark for measuring the success of other teams. I would also like to commend the Husker fans for their gracious attitude. Lastly, I would like to share an inspirational quote by Russ Rose with all the Husker fans, to help boost your spirit as you head into the tournament:

Seriously, what is wrong with Bergen? Is she being coached to do something wrong or is she just poor at locating the ball?

Nebraska had at least 20 to 25% of the crowd tonight. Cheered when they scored, otherwise allowed Penn State to do the usual verbal chants. However, at one point they started a “Go Big Red” chant, but the Penn State crowd quickly overwhelmed them with a “We are…Penn State” chant that kept going until the Penn State pep band began to play.
Nebraska fans can be commended for the way they travel to support their team. But I can honestly say they looked stunned at how Nebraska was being handled by the Nittany Lions, and that they weren’t going to see their team get a Big 10 trophy.
If I had to say the one reason that has allowed Penn State to have an incredible season and get where they are now, it’s our setter IZZY STARCK. From the beginning, she brought a level of maturity and skill that allowed all the other players to shine.

How do you not have Dan Fisher on that list when Pitt has been #1 for most of the season??

CJ and Izzy were fantastic, I’m so excited to watch them over the next 4 years. We are very lucky to have them in the Valley!
Dimes Grimes was also sensational, I hope everyone takes notice and she gets an AA award with Jess and Izzy.

I know I'll catch heat with this, but for as much as Cook makes statements about developing his own recruits and such, they really haven't done well with their 2021 HS class aside from Rodriguez:
Kennedi Orr was the #1 recruit and only set for about half a season and never in a 5-1.
Lindsay Krause was the #2 recruit and lost her starting spot, she has never made an All American team either.
Ally Batenhorst was the #3 recruit and struggled putting balls away most of her career. She was likely getting beat out this year and transferred to USC where she is having a big season.
Whitney Lauenstein was another pin recruit who transferred out
Ironically, his best 2021 pin hitter (by a wide margin) is Merritt Beason who transferred in as an upperclassman.

I bias to Nebraska, but I think this loss will be good for the team. Sometimes you need a little reminder that youre not unstoppable to refocus and come back stronger. Better to have this loss now than in the Tourney

An opinion based on one recruiting class over a very successful 25 year career developing players and coaches? BTW Kennedy tore her ACL before arriving at NE and never was able to fully recover.
