It does seem that when Nebraska forces sets through AJ it helps our pins a ton. I know if we have an off passing night, we can't go to the middles as much. Last night there were lots of times where Riley had AJ open for sets and she went high outside left. And did it time and time again. 15 sets for AJ (low on the team even with Krause only playing 1 set) was the biggest stat saw. And she hit .667 for the match. I would guess that was the coaches putting that idea in Riley's head going into the match and then not adjusting. Nebraska wins with balance, we weren't very balanced last night. Your most terminal hitter getting the 6th most attempts is also a recipe for a loss that should never happen.
End of the night, we lost 3 close sets, thus the match. It did seem in those sets we were playing from behind all 3 of them. I credit the PSU players and coaches and I think the fault lies with the Nebraska coaches. Teams that lose in volleyball never feel they played well, it's the nature of the sport. CJ took over sets 3 and 4 and Nebraska had no answers.
Hope we run into PSU in the national semi's in a month. Expect Neb/PSU to be in the 2/3 slots in some order. The 3 seed might have the easier path. Makes tomorrows reveal a lot more interesting. The committee rarely does what this board thinks it will do. So many ways they could seed this right now.

rjaege thought the “match was not all that interesting”? The upset of the year, two teams displaying incredible defense, hard hitting, in front of an electric crowd, with both school’s fan bases on hand? That wasn’t “interesting”? What do you need? The teams inside a cage, fighting to the death? This would be more enjoyable on a Terra flex court. Penn state home game aren't easy on the eyes. Hard watch on that court and bad angles.

Unfortunately, I think what Harper needs the most is a social media cleanse. I think most people need one (it helped me a lot!), but given that the last time terrible comments on the internet really got to her it resulted in a DUI and other legal charges, she needs to get off the internet. Especially with the NCAA tourney and stress coming up. Earlier in this thread there was something about an instagram user "flexing" that at least John Cook doesn't have breast cancer, so yeah, people are mean and insane online. I support her in telling people to shut the heck up, but no one's behavior has ever been changed by a post like that, so at a certain point, she has to put her mental health above an online presence. Only make the posts you need to for NIL deals, silence notifications from social media, and put a 10 min time limit per day on the apps. all good points. Something that I've always found helpful personally is to really resist posting (sending e-mail, etc.) when I'm emotional. That time limit concept is also useful as a cooling off period. If I still think I have a valid point when the fever has cleared, I can then write it in a calm, rational way. This goes for harper too though.. or any athletes making emotional posts about incoming emotional posts... it just breeds more emotional posts, reactions and more rage responses, which is what those people want and what we are doing here. 101 in celebrity world, NEVER EVER EVER EVER RESPOND PUBLICALLY TO NEGATIVITY ........unless your running for politics

How much NIL money is invested in that Nebraska roster? At least one player is close to $100k .
The 1890 initiative of $5 million a year or two was a nice gift.
Not much left over for a decent bench it seems.
Perhaps I’m misinformed
The demand for being so active on social media opens the doors even wider for trolls looking to go after these girls. An unfortunate situation.

clearly the match brought out the worst in people instead of celebrating the thriller....
last night there were people making fun of KSC's cancer diagnosis & Harpers issues with the drinking & driving back in april
