Carli Snyder single-handedly creates the challenge system in NCAA vball and y’all still wanna give Michigan to Alisha Glass. 👀
lol jk.
As for now, it’s absolutely recency bias- but, I think many setters would’ve done what Glass did with those Penn State teams, whereas I’m not sure many OH’s could’ve secured the bag for Penn State like Mruzik did this year. I’m currently giving Michigan to Mruzik, but am also reserving the right to revisit this in 3 years and call myself a dumbass depending on how Jess’ professional career shakes out. 😂
Best Setter at the Olympics is pretty good tho, I guess. 😂

Um. Kendall White for Indiana is a choice. IMO she's not even the best player to come out of the Munciana club, much less the whole state

Loved Otec at Purdue 💛🚂🏐 but not even close to the ability of Folkl as a player in high school and college 🤯

Fun post. Fun list. Glad to see Megan Hodge Easy (only three championships, two tourney MVPs, National Player of the year and four first team All American) included.

I'd argue Janice Leao (Miami) for Massachusetts.
Simone Lee for Wisconsin.

Glass was the best setter in the world for at least one Olympic cycle. Mrzuk wasn't even the best in her conference.

I think in the near future Michigan might be able to put up a good case for one of the states producing multiple high quality NCAA (and beyond) players with Glass, Snyder, Mruzik, Murray, Flynn (if she ends up as elite as projected), and we can’t forget from early 2000’s McGinnis. She had a great collegiate career at Florida.
