Since 2001 was before they went to pre-selected regional sites Penn State would almost have to have been the higher seed.

UCLA loss was an upset. Pretty sure PSU was the higher seed and at home. Actually, I know they were. Don't remember the 2000 match. You are wrong. UCLA was the 8th seed in 2001 and PSU was unseeded. I remembered because I was upset that I will not get to see Kristee Porter played at home for the last time. She was cleared to play by NCAA just before the tournament began

even though she hit .000 the only time i saw her, Nicole Fawcett's physical ability was amazing. I hope we are not on their side of the bracket for the next 3 years.

Yeah, I just looked that up. I was thinking of the year Minnesota was sent to PSU and that was a regional.
Amazing they'd send UCLA to PSU as the #8 seed.
I sit corrected.

It was at was 1st and 2nd round matches not regionals. More interesting seeding on the part of the NCAA. UCLA was ranked 14th in the poll before the seedings and Penn State was ranked 17th.

The 2004 loss to UCLA was a pretty big upset. The Nittany Lions were the No. 2 seed overall (No. 1 in the West region) in the tournament, behind Nebraska (Minnesota and Hawai'i were the other ones) and UCLA was the No. 15 seed, IIRC. It was played in Seattle, Wash. (with UDub the No. 2 seed in that regional). Penn State should have won that match, as well as the one in 2005 against Tennessee.
Aside from the Bremner years, I just have not been impressed with Penn State that much come NCAA Tournament time.
Washington will be a Final Four contender, imho. Morrison and Thompson are great players to build around and Deesing will definitely step it up. They won't fall far - the coaching staff will make sure of that.
Stanford and Nebraska look like good bets (if healthy) to make the Final Four. Florida also returns a lot and will be a contender. I like those three and Washington to be in Omaha, Neb. next year.

is that what you wanted me to say Ruffda? !? well Ill have you know im not a crazy, all out, "delusional," excessive Wahine fan as some are. I'm a realist. Don't get me wrong, i'm yearning for them to win another championship, but it's not like i'm going to mention Hawaii in every post. Besides, if you really want to know....in 2006, I don't think Hawaii will make the Final Four. I think they have a lot of potential next year, but that is just all it is potential-like every other year....except in KIM&LILY era! I say the Wahine WILL finish in the Top 10 but only get as close in the Elite 8 if their "lucky." But you never know though.....Tennessee, Santa Clara... who knew? And if NCAA miraculously awards Hawaii a regional.... well you get the picture.
