Just got an order form for 2006 FF tickets today.... Man is UNL having cash flow problems? Seems really early. Have other "home team" ticket holders gotten order forms so early for other FF's?
Says they will assign seats based on points accumulated from having tickets, donations, and being member of the matchclub.

Seems wrong to me. When you're selling for a national event, there should be no priority of placement beyond the seats reserved for the four schools. The tickets should be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis, including preferred placement of seats.

I agree with StanfordFan. Everyone has made a big deal out of the "Nebraska U guarantees a sellout Final Four" threads, but while the attendance might be good for NCAA revenue and good for Nebraska fans, it may not be good for, you know, fans in the other 49 states who will get screwed to the upper balcony corners.

I know at previous Fours I've been to there were booths to register for tickets to the following year's Final Four matches.
Especially at the 1998 Final Four in Madison they were pushing the tickets for the 1999 Final Four in Hawaii.
So Nebraska fans getting ticket offers for next year's Final Four at this time is actually now a couple weeks later than tickets being sold at the Final Four in previous seasons.

What is the 'x' amount of tickets set aside for the teams that will actually make it to the FF and where are the seats located in the arena?

Omaha as well as Sacramento State was at the AVCA Convention but were not hawking tickets. They appeared to just be there to raise the awareness of the next two Final Fours.
I got my application also. The deadline is Jan. 6 to order before releasing to the public. It didn't say when pulic sales would be available.

It wouldn't surprise me if that really happens in Omaha next year. When I went to the FF in Long Beach last year, my tickets were in gawd-awful far-up seats even though I bought them through the USC ticket office.

When I went to the FF in Long Beach last year, my tickets were in gawd-awful far-up seats even though I bought them through the USC ticket office. Each participating school gets an allotment of tickets amounting to about 150. When we were in the FF in Honolulu several years ago we got half of our tickets on the floor and the other half up above(not nearly as good a seats) It was the same in Madison in 1998. By the time the host school is told for whom to hold the other seats(mostly prime floor level seats by the way) there aren't a ton of prime seats left. Media, VIP's AVCA gets a thousand or so, host committee, etc. etc. etc. etc., the average fans get what is left. Pure and simple. Furthermore the end zones are not really prime seats because the NCAA makes you move them a mile from the baselines to accommodate the boom camera as well as making room for cheer leaders, bands, more VIP's etc. You get the idea I hope! I suspect that seats will be pretty tough to find in Nebraska next year, so if your school ain't going to be there, good luck getting tickets! As far as Sacramento is concerned, I suspect that there will be PLENTY of tickets available just not good seats.....Merry Christmas.....and quit whining!

I'm a Season ticket holder and I did not get an order form. Maybe that is being done for Match Club members only. Besides, even if I do get a form from the ticket office I'm not going to order through them. Both times that I got tickets for the Qwest center via being a season ticket holder the seats were terrible. I think there will plenty of good seats for ever wants to come. Especially if Nebraska is not in it. I think they will have record crowds but they are adding more permanent seating and should be able to seast somewhere between 17,000 and 18,000. Every seat in the upper bowl is better then most of the seats at the Alamo bowl.

A question I have - we went to the AVCA preseason tournament this year and the Nebraska boosters had access to a bar that served alcohol during the matches at the Qwest Center. Ironically enough some players were spotted in the bar as well. Only boosters had access to this area - my question - will the NCAA allow alcohol to be served during the Final Four? Personally don't think it should be allowed but just wondered....

You had to be a Match Club member to get in to start with or a Club Member of the Qwest Center. Timing seems pretty strange that an athlete could have gotten in there also. They would have all been with the team by the time we got there and we cleared out afterwards. However, we decided not to use the lounge for the Regional (too much hassle and not worth it) and I doubt we will for the Final Four either (for the same reasons).

Thanks for the info - the players were actually a couple from another team. Have no idea how they got in but they were in there- saw them myself...no biggie just don't think it sends the right message serving alcohol at an NCAA event.

You think only members get in? Hey, members bring their "special" friends all the time. Also, if you want to impress a player, especially if you're a volleyball fan and the player is a volleyball player, you'll find a way to get her in for some party time. There's always a way. Rules are meant to be broken by exclusive club members. Don't you know?

They had been serving alcohol at the Big 12 football Championships for quite some time. Not sure if they stopped now. But both times Nebraska made it down there they were. I don't even remember seeing the third quarter of the Texas A&M game in 1997.

Mine were near center court though and I actually thought they were pretty good. Better than the corner seats we had during the AVCA down in the bowl.
