I havent heard...Brent Hilliard, Rita Crockett, Angela Rock, Mark Pryor, Wade Benson, Dave Boos, Jill Herschinger, Katie Weismiller,Mike Sealy, Ben Somera, Dave Flemming, Chis Gonzalez either but that doesnt make one of them the new hawaii assistant or does it?

I doubt seriously that it will be Hilly. He will be the interim head coach this coming season at USD since the head coach is taking a year off to have a baby!

The reason I mentioned Aaron Wilton is because he has some major Hawaii connections, smart ass.

Aaron Wilton would actually be a good pick for coach. He knows the game and would bring an enthusiasm that is tough to match

Good question. I still think he would be an excellent choice.

Who really knows if this list is legit or not, but Benson, Boos, Somera, Fleming, Gonzalez, and Rock look to be solid choices. Pryor and Herschinger are question marks. I've never heard of them and had to google their names. Herschinger has been a long time coach at University of New Hampshire. She seems to be much older (not that there is anything wrong with that) than the other candidates. I wonder if she would be able to fit into the culture at Hawaii after so long on the east coast. I just hope it's not Weismiller or Crockett, they haven't had much success at Iowa or Indiana lately, and now they want to come to Hawaii!! Not to mention the fact that these two coaches seem to get bashed a lot on this board and it seems like not many are willing to say positive things about them.

I don't think it takes a whole lot to adapt to the culture of Hawaii. Once you get past the stage of looking/judging people by their skin color and ethnicity, people are people. What takes getting used to in Hawaii, especially Honolulu, are the damn foot-long cockroaches! And some put those flowers (normally for leis) above their right ear and then realize they're breaking out in a rash all around that ear!
