Wolfgang...be nice. If you don't have anything good to say than just keep it to yourself. This is a volleyball forum. Let's keep it clean. Okay? What...? I'm outraged! Beyond belief! I am nice. I am alway nice. I never said anything bad about anybody in this thread. What the...?

I believe Beachman said that Cheryl Weaver was "retired" from volleybal and was finishing up her degree at Long Beach State. (although she's probably finished by now)

Is it just me or was she on the 2000 Olympic Team?

It wasn't just you. They can't play with only one player.
And, no, Weaver's never been on the National Team, let alone the Olympic Team.

I love that term, 'actually.'
I asked my then 6-year-old cousin what it meant one time when I was goofing around with some mis-factoids to test him. He told me, and I quote:
"It means that you don't know what's right and I do."

I'm not absolutely sure of the year but I do have it on tape somewhere. I have been a huge Weaver fan since her days at LBSU. I will never forget when Long Beach played Hawaii in 1999 and 2000 and Cheryl Weaver ran circles around Heather Bown. Weaver has never spent significant time with the National Team but did play in the 2001 Montreux tournament and from the matches that I have on tape of that tournament, she was very effective. I am unsure of her retired status, but she did play on the Championship team of Volero (Where Tom played this season), last season. Hopefully that wasn't the last of her playing years.

I thought she was an amazing player in college. Very physical and powerful. Too bad she graduated when Jennifer Joines was just coming in as a freshman, that would have been a good PACIFIC team.

How do know all of this about Emily? Do you know if she is coaching in Arizona too? Since you seem to know enough then you might be able to tell me about her choices. I heard she entertaining offers to play pro, but I also heard she wanted to coach for the experience. Is this false? Where is Alicia? She would know what to do.
