Pardon me, but if you guys think Scott Robbs is an awful announcer, then you're greater morons than previously revealed. I'm no fan of many Hawai'i fans, but I'll take Scott over 95% of the other tv/radio volleyball announcers. The guy knows the game, he knows the players, and he gives constant, specific play-by-play so you can listen to a match and visualize it easily.

NO. 11 TENNESSEE VOLLEYBALL WINS HARD-FOUGHT MATCH OVER LOYOLA MARYMOUNT, 3-1 Senior Sarah Blum leads Lady Vols to victory with 16 kills and nine blocks
Sept. 2, 2006
LOS ANGELES - The No. 11 University of Tennessee volleyball team was able to put a first-game loss behind them and defeat Loyola Marymount in four games, 14-30, 31-29, 30-27, 30-25, in the first match of the LMU/USC Hilton LAX Invitational on Friday night at Gersten Pavilion.
"This was a great win for us considering our inconsistent play throughout the entire match," Tennessee head coach Rob Patrick said. "I am extremely proud of everyone on our team as they fought hard for each point and were able to get out of a tough match with a victory over a very good team.
"Both Joselyn (Johnson) and Kylie (Marshall) provided a much-needed spark for us at the middle blocker and libero positions, respectively," Patrick said. "Kylie came in and played at a very high level for us, doing a great job both passing and digging the ball while Joselyn provided a calming presence on the court. Her strong play also brought energy to our team in a number of crucial situations."
Senior middle blocker Sarah Blum recorded 16 kills and nine blocks to lead the Lady Vols to the win. Five of the Tulsa, Okla., products' put backs came in the decisive fourth game. She also had a team-high .353 (16-4-34) hitting percentage.
Other statistical standouts included sophomore Yuliya Stoyanova who tallied 13 kills and eight digs and senior Kelsey Fautsch who knocked out 10 kills and had seven digs. Since arriving at Rocky Top prior to the 2005 season, Tennessee is 18-1 in matches that Fautsch has recorded 10+ kills. Freshman Kylie Marshall led the team with 12 digs, playing libero for the first time in her brief career.
The Big Orange could not hold off a strong Lion attack in the first game, falling 30-14. LMU jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead and never looked back. The Lions had five runs of three points or more during the game. Blum was the lone bright spot for UT in the set, posting a .556 hitting percentage with five kills in nine attempts without any attack errors.
It looked like more of the same to start the second game as the Lions won four of the first five points, but the Lady Vols fought back with a gutsy performance to tie the match up at one game apiece, winning 31-29. The Lions opened the frame with a 4-1 lead, before UT rallied back to tie it at 11 and a cross-court laser from Blum gave them the 12-11 advantage. A back-and-forth battle ensued with the two teams emerging deadlocked at 29. A Fautsch kill and a block from Noble and Joselyn Johnson ensured the victory for the Lady Vols.
The third game was close throughout, but the Orange and White pulled ahead late to grab the 30-27 win. The set included 25 tie scores and nine lead changes. The Lady Vols fought off a number of attacks late in the game from LMU and scored four of the final six points to claim the win. Blum hit an amazing .714 in the frame with five kills in seven attempts with no errors. As a team, UT out-hit the Lions .371 to .081.
Another close set followed with the Lady Vols emerging victorious, 30-25. Tied at 25, the match looked to be going to a full five games, but Patrick's squad put the petal to the metal and won the last five points of the match. Blum and Marshall took control in the final frame, tallying five blocks and five digs, respectively.
The Lady Vols will return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. PDT when they take to the court against defending Atlantic Coast Conference champion North Carolina. UT holds an 8-3 advantage in contests between the two squads.

so who wrote that article at 2:22 in the morning?
I wonder what Kylie Marshall was doing at libero. I mean i remember specifically saying after the LV classic that she seemed good enough in the back row to play libero, but i didn't think it would actually happen...

I think Kylie may eventually play everywhere. She'd be a great libero, but she's valuable up front too. UT has a lot of depth and we may see many combinations early before they settle on any line-up.

I was really surprised by her backrow ability in the tournament. Not that i expected her to not be any good at it, but it wasnt part of the hype. All you heard about was her "leaping" abilitly and incredibly fast arm swing...
It's probably part of an elaborate plan to move her back to OH for the Florida game and "ambush" mary wise...

Tennessee wins 14-30, 31-29, 30-27, 30-25 Good thing for Tennessee (or too bad for LMU) that volleyball isn't scored like basketball where it's only the total points that count. In that case this match would have ended up 111-106 LMU.

^ We have a habit of doing that...
Allthough, that logic isnt entirely true. When a team is going way down in a game, sometimes they just write that game off, when if it were "basketball style" they would keep trying their hardest to score more points.
