Hey my score went up last week . . ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) I should get props for that esp because I mostly pick the midwest to win Friday, September 8 USC ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Likegolf14, please modify your entry. The main reason the rules require people to copy and paste and delete their chosen losers is to make it easier to score and avoid ambiguity. How is someone to score your "USC" choice in the South Carolina v. Southern Cal match? They are both USC. The first USC listed is South Carolina; on the other hand, many more people think of Southern Cal and not South Carolina as USC. There is no objective way to measure your intent. If you do not clarify your post, you will be considered to have missed this match. The winky thing after was supposed to make it funny because I know they are both USC . . . guess not eh? . . . my bad.

Oh, now I get it, the funny that is. I actually hadn't known before that a winky transformed an ambiguity into a "Southern Cal." And I guess if you had put in U$C, a la Beachman, nobody would have laughed. Anyhew, good luck.

Cougarize, it looks as though you have two identical entries but for the first tiebreaker scores. The entry last edited at 7:57 pm today will be the one judged. If would be appreciated, however, if you would simply delete the other one. Thanks in advance. My bad. I guess I was just super excited over the third week. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Done and changed!

The sad part is that I am East Coast-a-rific so I actually think of South Carolina when someone says USC. And if there is actually an upset there I am going to be v.v. upset with myself for not sticking to my guns and revolting against the west coast.

I prefer to think of it as being only one match out of first place ;D With no entry from p-dub this week, it would not be incorrect to state that publius (lower case please and thanks in advance) chose two more winners than did pdub. ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Just know that I am four-for-four in my mind...

Crossed mine, but kept right on going. Have to admit I don't know much about this year's Jayhawks, only that they were disappointing last year.

Pick the winners update: after 1 day, Publius is tied for last. Stung by the public vituperative criticism from a respected authority, publius responded by going 11 wins in 11 matches Friday and is now 13 wins higher than p-dub (full disclosure: publius also has two more losses than p-dub) in this week's contest (publius also had more wins and fewer losses than p-dub in the first two weeks of the VT contest). Interim results for everyone posted tomorrow: Friday winning teams: Arizona State Louisiana State Iowa State Ohio Santa Clara New Mexico State Penn State Tennessee Sacramento State UNLV Southern Cal
