Where? Where? It's "hear, hear" and I don't want to have to tell you this again.

Seriously. Have these past three days ruined your life so much that you feel you need to say all that? Lurkers, as has been stated, do not add _anything_ to this forum. Disagree with it, fine. But it is really beyond me when people feel they need to start screaming and pointing when something that couldn't be more inconsequential occurs. Has "Pirate talk" ruined my life? Absolutely not. I'm still here and not one of those that have choosen to stay away for a while. So who are these evil lunkers that don't add anything to this forum? That's an interesting question. I'm sure many of them are just regular volleyball fans like most of us that have registered and post. But I also believe that a some of them just might be volleyball players, or coaches, or SID's or administrators or NCAA committee members or journalist & reportors looking for background & leads on a possible story or potential sponsors & advertisers. I believe that there are a lot of people that have an interest in volleyball including some of the topics discussed on this board that will never register or post on a forum of this type. Maybe they do not add anything to this forum, but that doesn't mean they don't add something to volleyball in some other way or another. So I just don't see why anyone would be worried that a lot of unregistered user would be lurking around and reading some of the stuff that is written on volleytalk. To the contrary, I would think it should be expected and encouraged. I have previously posted twice regarding this subject. I have not emailed or PM'ed the administrator about it. I figured that whatever I wanted to say could be said in public. Sorry if you felt that was "screaming". The first post was after about an hours frustration when I was trying to post a message, but all the words in the "Preview" weren't the same as I had just typed. At first I thought there was something in my personal preference settings that maybe got screwed up. Then I just figured that proboards had some kind of a problem that got volleytalk mixed up with some other forum and that our administrator would quickly get that straighten out. You see, I don't read all the topics on this board, only those that seem to catch my interest when I scan the listing page. I hadn't had a PM from the administrator saying "next week is Pirate Talk on Volleytalk & here's what's going to happen on the board". I posted that message when I realized that "Pirate Talk" was not an error, but something that our administrator did him/herself. I believe that the administrator/owner/moderator or whatever you want to call him/her has a resposibility to volleyball, besides just Volleytalk and that in this case (as is apparently evidenced by a 50% drop in "lurkers") he/she did not live up to the standards we should be able to expect of an administrator. How childish it is not to be able to read the top of a page. maybe SaltNPepper = 'IQ of One'

Well - I'm starting to wean myself slowly off of "Post Like a Pirate Week". I guess it'll be the name, followed by the location. BTW - "Punta de Los Tres Reyes" is the Spanish name for Point Reyes in Marin County, California. It was allegedly where noted privateer Sir Francis Drake spent some time repairing his ships while freaked out about the local Miwoks regarding him as a god.
One-Eyed Oski might stay up for a while though.

Where? Where? It's "hear, hear" and I don't want to have to tell you this again. That's stupid. I'm not telling you to listen. I'm standing up waving my arms yelling, HERE! HERE! I AGREE RIGHT HERE! SEE ME? Call on me! Please teacher, I always raise my hand but you never call on me. That stupid kid you keep calling on never knows. School was frustrating.
