Um, upset? UCLA is ranked #3 in the country and Oregon is...well, Oregon. I don't get it? According to Pablo, Oregon was favored thanks to HCA.

I posted this earlier at the "UW-Cal" thread and the stats posted were wrong based on the play-by-play. "UCLA killed UO 30-22, 30-13, 30-20 (UO hit .015). UCLA had a block fest. Stats posted are wrong but play-by-play showed Nana and Ali led the win again."

Still confused...the drop-down rankings above for Pablo have UCLA at #8 and Oregon at #17...so, what am I missing? To be precise, the Pablo ranking is not as important as the Pablo scores. Oregon had a score of 7780 while UCLA had a score of 8050. However, there was a home court advantage worth 347 points, which when added to Oregons 7780, gave the Ducks a total of 8127, making them Pablo's pick, having 77 more points than UCLA. Of close to 40 VT pick-the-winners contestants, I don't think any of them picked Oregon; shows the vulnerability of Pablo so early in the season but also makes one shake his head in awe at Pablo's overall stats, something like 83% correct if I recall correctly.

To be frank, I'm surprised that it was this much of a spanking... Long Beach must be really bad again this year.

I haven't seen UCLA yet this year. Is Ali Daley so good that she could beat out Sather? Sather was so strong last season. And I guess Lyman is back in good form.
