Spartans win, 30-26
A good showing for Indiana - well ahead of last year.

Oh well. 30-23, 23-30, 30-26 and 30-26. Not _that_ bad.
And stats wise, _tons_ better than last night.
Erica Short: 24 kills, .259, 2 blocks Gabby Allison: 13 kills, .600, 5 blocks Emily Zulauf: 12 kills, .312 Annie Moddrell: 10 kills, .348, 6 blocks
Allison Regas with 27 assists and career high 5 blocks, Watts with 24 assists.
Hitting percentage much, much higher than last night. And more kills in one less game. Unfortunately, defense (digging-wise) needs some major help.
So. The weekend went alot better than I would have ever thought. Hopefully the Hoosiers can keep this up, and continue to improve, even in the rough and tumblin' B10.
Go Hoosiers!

Shucks, Hoosier, I missed this one. We were chewing off each others' fingernails in my living room during the OSU-PSU football game. Checking out OSU and Iowa on GT? (What the hell is up with Bloomington football, my man? UCONN? Come ON!!!!)

Football? Surely you jest.
Best of luck to the Buckeyes tonight! Let's keep those Hawkeyes under 26 points!

IU did better than I expected this weekend, doing more to slow down the MSU left side hitters than Purdue was able to last night. Still, MSU was able to get one of the middles involved and have a big match, and that probably made a difference. If I were the Spartans, I would be really concerned about the block; three in a four gamer is really bad. I know Colaluca is good, but how many balls will you be able to dig if the block isn't much of a factor? They really need to do a better job in that regard, and changing right side players isn't a great sign for them, either. At least they won, unlike the Spartan football team.
