The three people who voted yes need to take a drug test.

Nnamani's defense was better than Hodge's and Fawcett doesn't even play back row. No comparison.

Fawcett and Hodge are nowhere near the level of either Tom/Nnamani or Willoughby/Kahumoku. It's way too premature to even put them on the same page as the other two duos.

The next Ogonna/Tom......you wish!
Anyway on a side note can you imagine if Nnamani was the same age as Tom? Imagine Their SR year!

Actually both Tom and Nnamani were heavily recruited by Penn State. I think there was an article either on Rollshot or Volleyball Magazine that said Tom corresponded almost daily vis e-mail with Russ Rose then suddenly she signed with Stanford.
When Stanford played Penn State in Happy Valley during Ogonna's freshman year, Rose stated that the duo will carry the Stanford team far into the NCAAs. Very prophetic words as Stanford won the 2001 NCAAs.
Fawcett and Hodge will certainly be great players over time but Logan came in at a very high level (played on the senior National Team) compared to both and even Ogonna.

Hodge has better ball control and defense than Ogonna, and Fawcett has the ability to play backrow, but doesn't need to on her current team (with all of those little bumpers they have). Are they better than Logonna? No. Do they have the potential to be? Yes.

How are you comparing them? offensively they absolutely are as good, In terms of Ballhandling and passing Tom is stronger but Oganna wasn't at the same stage in her career. AS far as not even close to Kim Willoughby, that is just silly, again at the net, Hodge as a Freshman and Fawcett as a sophmore, don't take a back seat to anybody and I mean anybody at the same stage in their careers.

Robyn lewis returning to Stanford's starting lineup as their setter (after recovering from injuries) was the key to the Cardinal run late in the season and in the tournament in 2001. She was the best setter at the final four in 2001 even though the other 3 setters were all more highly touted coming into the final four. FWIW: I'm still annoyed with ESPN for putting their freaking "boom cam" right in front of our seats for the final match.

Take a look at Willoughby's numbers as a sophmore. Neither Fawcett or Hodge's Stats are anywhere near Willoughby's. Willoughby hit well over 300, averaging over 7 kills a game as a sophmore, and was NCAA National player of the week twice by this time in 2001. She was able to put up these numbers despite the fact that EVERYBODY knew the ball would go to her. Come back in a couple of years, after either player has earned her third First team AA honor, and National Player of the Year award. Untill then, you're just a clown singing empty praises.

BiK, WAC.
I'm not saying you're wrong, but you can't compare WAC numbers to the PAC10 or Big10.

And Penn State played only top 25 competition so far this season? Maybe you should look up Willoughby's numbers against top 25 competition during that year. Tell me what you find.
