Cusack should be SEC Freshman of the Year, just not week. But that's a story for another time.
I'm still trying to figure out how this team lost to South Carolina earlier in the season... Regardless, they are performing like a well oiled machine right now, and have a legitimate shot at the Final Four in my eyes.
That 16th straight SEC title is all but a formality now.

There's still far and away enough depth on this team to beat a squad such as South Carolina. No offense to the Gamecocks, but they aren't a good team.

Cusack is such a big difference maker. Yeah, amazing defense, but her passing is so key. Let's not forget, she's still barely practicing because the stress fracture isn't fully healed, same for Amber who needs to rest her shoulder. If I had my way, Cusack would be SEC Freshman of the Year, but she's a libero and those awards hardly ever go to defensive players.

Team stats, some really sick defensive numbers. Cusack's numbers still blow me away. UF-58 kills, 27 errors, 225 attacks, .138, 53 assists, 7 aces, 5 errors, 113 digs, 9 blocks LSU- 68 kills, 45 errors, 236 attacks, .096, 65 assists, 5 aces, 7 errors, 119 digs, 14 blocks Hitting errors were the difference in this one. Skender led LSU with 23 kills, but 16 errors. Washington 20 and 12 for Washington, Freeman 10 kills UF led by Amber with 19 kills, Kisya 13 with 10 errors, Marcie just 7 with 6 errors, kelsey with 9. Dig leaders: UF: Cusack-46 Hampton-19 Rhian-15 Angie-13 LSU: Mikulik-28 Skender-23 Romero-22 Washington-14 Martinez-13 Gator, how's "Killer K" doing?

Kari is at least healthy enough to practice, but still not close to 100%. She's just missed so much time, that this will likely end up a wasted year. She's appeared in too many matches to redshirt. She went in tonight and got 1 swing and that was it. That's pretty much been the extent of her playing time this year. She goes in when someone is struggling, just to give someone a break. But she doesn't have her jump back and no timing with Angie. Shame, really, I wish they would've just redshirted her so she could have 2 years left. Maybe she can obtain a medical hardship, but I don't know how that works. I guess there is still hope she'll be ready in time for the postseason, but I think that might disrupt on the court chemistry. I guess we'll see.

Isn't it amazing how much better your team gets when they find a good libero?

Cusack not being SEC freshman of the year would be stupid.

Hard to say without seeing the match, but just looking at the stats, I'd say she had another very good match. 57 assists, 22 digs, 3 kills, 4 blocks. LSU only hit .097, but I believe that was hitters trying to do too much and not bad setting. Isn't it amazing how much better your team gets when they find a good libero? Yeah, what a difference when you actually recruit someone who has played the position for a while. It's not a waste of a scholarship, as many coaches believe, to go out and recruit a libero.

46 digs by one person in a 4-game match between two Top 15 teams is unheard of ... Cusack may just be the most important piece of the Gator puzzle. Amazing .. love her!!! Rare perhaps, but not unheard of: 50 – Sydney Donahue (Arizona State) vs. LMU, Aug. 26 (3 games) 50 – Gina Guide (Northern Illinois) vs. Toledo, Oct. 13 (4 games) www.avca.org/collegiate/06DI30Dig.aspI don't believe either of those match ups are between Top 15 teams.

That building is way too large...
also, is it harder for players to distinguish in / out on a basketball court with lines on it than it is on a "volleyball court" (like florida or UTK)
