Hey Beachman- I guess Long Beach's loss to Oregon doesn't look so bad now. It never did look too bad... I do recall Beachman getting some grief earlier this year. Funny how no one remembers that now.

heartbreaker for Oregon to come back to 14 all and lose the next two points. They should be good for the NCAA tournament though.

Poor Cougs, they have to play Oregon tomorrow... either they'll sneak a win or be totally obliterated. That's a tough match for Oregon.
Meanwhile, Oregon State up next for Huskies... sleep-walking will win that one.

I still think that had Oregon not chocked early in the last game (the ace indicates nerves) they would've won. But its great for them to show so much potential.

You have to give credit to the coaches in this one. Not long ago, this would have been a "do we care?" type of match, and now it is both close and nationally relevant. I am surprised how much Oregon has improved. Will they be moving ahead of Cal in the poll?

There are no more Thursday-Friday-Saturday match sequences in the Pac-10. Travel partners either both play Thursday-Friday or both play Friday-Saturday. Blame it on USC (as discussed in an earlier post).

Hey Beachman- I guess Long Beach's loss to Oregon doesn't look so bad now. No, it's only a bad loss if you lose to a team worse than you. ;D

I am surprised how much Oregon has improved. Will they be moving ahead of Cal in the poll? As usual, Oregon will move up only if someone above them loses. Of course they host Cal in two weeks. If they win that they'll move up. The Oregon web site mentions they've only lost to teams ranked No. 7 and above. Best 5th-place team in the country.
