Florida sweeps Ole Miss 30-15, 30-16, 30-24. Not much the Gators didn't do right tonight. Other than Rhian's 4 service errors, the Gators were pretty much perfect tonight. Marcie, Kisya and Stef(Amber had the night off to rest her shoulder) were unstoppable. Stef was particularly impressive with her 10 kills, hitting .714 and 6 blocks. Cusack only 16 digs, as Ole Miss really tried to hit away from her(I think people are catching on that she's pretty good). Still, double digit digs in every match she's played. Angie had a great night setting, 49 assists as the Gators hit close to .400 and had 58 kills. 13.5 blocks and 64 digs, not a bad night. Ole Miss had Moffit in the middle the only real success, their outsides hit negative combined. Win on Sunday and it's SEC title #16 in a row

Today's match was so boring. We had more WiseGuys than we've had any match this season and half left before intermission because they we're bored. I though the SEC was supposed to be a different SEC this season, I guess not.

The league is better, but as has been the case the last 16 years, when Florida plays well, they can make a lot of teams look really bad. Florida is really playing well these last few weeks.

How did this game end up on a Wednesday night? Every team plays at least 1 Wednesday match, because there are only 11 teams in the league. Florida has had to play 3, which has been less than ideal, but whatever.

What a great match by the Gators!
However, question. Rhian Davis? Serve? I need answers.

I though the SEC was supposed to be a different SEC this season, I guess not. Every Conference has nights when the top team plays the bottom team and it's a route. Like Penn State playing Inidana or Nebraska playing Texas Tech. Does change the fact that the SEC is getting better every year.

It was scheduled for Friday night, but UF also scheduled a men's basketball for the same time in the O'Connell Center. Volleyball lost out when it came to importance for using the arena to men's basketball.

Thanks, sperebel, I knew there had to be some other reason because SEC teams only play their travel partners mid-week.

Win on Sunday and it's SEC title #16 in a row I seem to remember a number of critical Rhian serving errors at the Qwest last year. Does she have issues serving? If so, why is she allowed to serve? Maybe she's just a very aggressive server. I wouldn't know, don't ever get to see Florida play.
