Krintin Folkl was the RECRUIT of the DECADE when she chose to come to Stanford. Everyone had heard about her and was in awe the very first hit she made. It was so hard and the rest was history. She won 3 national championships and went to the Olympics as an alternate. Unheard of by anyone these days...and almost won WBB as well. The team went to final four. Logan Tom came to Stanford and the team was the runner up during her first year playing with inhured Walsh. She went to the Olympic during her second year and the team struggled. She came back and won the championship her Junior year with Nnamani and was the runner up her senior year with Schultz was the freshman libero (I still remember the look she gave Schultz. USC was good but I still think the setter should have kept setting Nnamani on crucial points. Nnamani was a better converter offensively.) 1 championship, 2 runner ups, 1 Olympic game. The point is, if Alix Klineman chooses to come to Stanford, she can do very well and top all these legends. She has Barboza to be her counterpart. Barboza can also make the name for herself. Both of them might end up playing in the Olympics in Beijing. Who knows. Stanford has developed great outside players in the past. Or, if she came to Hawaii, she would be the legend. She'd overtake all of the current and former stars in a heartbeat. This among a HUGE audience. She'd be the pivotal piece needed to take a national championship back to Hawai'i AND she'd become a better volleyball player while at Hawai'i, as well. Something that the other schools on her list won't offer her. She is already at alternate to Olympic team caliber.... coming to Hawaii will help turn her into the starter.

In the interest of political correctness, shouldn't her name be Alix Klinewoman?

I hope this kid lives up to the hype. It's a lot of pressure to live up to the expectations everyone seems to have. I don't know her from the next kid coming down the pipe, but I'd hate for her to sign somewhere, and then with the pressure of going off to university and playing under such intense scrutiny, just find it's too much after a year or two.

who is better coming out of high school, Pavan or Klineman?
This will give us some ideas how Alix will have an impact on a program. Nebraska has been doing well with Pavan but they still haven't won with her. So this proves that not a person can still carry a team (unless you are Ogonna Nnamani!)

That's not quite an even comparison, is it? I mean, they (Pavan and Klineman) don't even play the same position.

skill wise, hitting, blocking, digging, etc. Then we get some good ideas. If AK is just like Pavan, we know she would make a good impact wherever she goes. When Pavan was recruited, she also made people want to know where she ended up. It was big news as well.
