Hawai`i's play just unraveled after the first two sets of the match. Hawai`i just couldn't get anything going in the third and fourth sets.
After tonights loss, Hawai`i will not be hosting in the play-offs. They just said that Hawai`i will probably be playing either at Pepperdine again or UCLA.

This means that Pepperdine takes fourth and hosts the first round next week. Now it is between CSUN and Hawaii for fifth and sixth. Depends on what happens tomorrow. Hawaii would need to win tomorrow and CSUN would have to lose to UCI on Saturday for Hawaii to play Pepperdine. (CSUN holds the tie breaker with Hawaii).

CSUN is 13-8, while Hawaii is 12-9. Since CSUN holds tiebreaker (won both head to head), Hawaii has to finish one match above CSUN in the standings.

Wow, what a blocking machine Pepperdine was.

If the MPSF brackets hold up as they stand today, then Hawaii will have to travel to UCLA for the first round and CSUN will have to travel to Pepperdine. I like Hawaii's odds vs. UCLA much better than CSUN's vs. Pepp.

That is insane. Pepperdine won a whole game just with their blocks alone. What an amazing feat. 10 solo blocks is incredible too. Was the setting that predictable? Did Delano get blocked a lot? He got a majority of the sets. Did Pepperdine camp out on him?
