$100,000+ in Iowa, I'm guessing, is enough to afford a mansion.

apparently, you don't know the cost of good farm land out here. $100,000 is not going to get you very far.

Who said anything about farm land? Shepherding a bunch of high strung spoiled club vb teens is enough work already. 100K in Iowa will buy you a damn fine suburban acre to erect your McMansion.

Interesting link: It also shows that Cindy at Iowa makes $160M, Bobbi at UNI makes $117M and Kalani Mahi as an assistant makes $60M. Congrats to CJ & Bobbie, well deserved. Cindy better start producing because they are not paying that kind of money to get 2-3 Big 10 wins each year.

That is, I am almost positive, more than Jim McLaughlin makes at Washington. I think he gets $150K. Seattle is a lot more expensive to live in than Iowa City.

I had to go on the link and see this for myself - but there it was - $160,000 for two wins (over Indiana) this year in the Big Ten. That's only $80,000 per conference win (with both of them coming against the only team to finish below them). Nice work if you can get it.

"Cindy better start producing because they are not paying that kind of money to get 2-3 Big 10 wins each year. " Cindy actually HAS started producing. Just wasn't a good Big Ten year this year. But, beat UNI last year, had 5 game loss to Purdue and Ia St this year, took games off of many Big 10 teams. But, more that than, she is rebuilding the program with FANS and COACHES in Iowa. This year they had great attendance in the season, she has more Iowa kids coming in now, and local HS and club coaches have much much more respect for Ia than in the past. So, while wins are piling up yet, there has been a drastic improvement in the program.

So, while wins are piling up yet, there has been a drastic improvement in the program." First she had no where to go but up after the Rita debacle. They could have hired Mickey Mouse and the HS coaches would have thought that was an improvement over the previous coaches pr skills. You can give all the feel good stories you want but when you are getting paid that kind of money which is putting you among the highest paid in your profession, feel good results eventually are not going to cut it. Everyone wants equal everything for womens coaches. Well, how about equal demands and pressure? If a BB coach is among the highest paid he won't last long lounging around the bottom of the conference. Notice also that I said she better start producing, meaning that the honeymoon is now over. By the way Iowa State and UNI are still out recruiting her.
