I'll bet most athletes would. That is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity few would pass up. Both setter and libero are positions that our National Team is desperate to fill......not sure that she is National Team material but right now, JLP is desperate to find adequate players for both positions as the ones who have tried to come in and fill the gap were woefully outmatched this past season!

I think there are better players out there than Bowman in both the setting and libero (She wasn't even the best defensive player on her own team...) She's a good college player, but won't contribute to the success of USA Volleyball... best of luck to her though...

She is such a well-rounded player and so much fun to watch. Although she's quite a bit taller, she reminds me a bit of Lori Endicott from NU who set Team USA to a bronze medal in Barcelona (is that right?). When she graduated, I don't think anyone expected Endicott to have the success she did at the international level (especially with her height), but Endicott had the same kind of solid all-around play and high volleyball and setter IQ that Bowman has. I'm excited to see how Bowman develops.
