That's a very nice pick up for Hawaii. it's too bad they couldn't keep Sydney Yogi at home. Herring is very talented, every bit as good as anyone in the 2008 class. The only question mark is her size, but I think she'll be just fine in college. She's extremely talented.

If she's listed at 5-10, maybe she's really 5-8 or 5-9?

If she's listed at 5-10, maybe she's really 5-8 or 5-9? You probably got it right. She looks about 5'8" or 5'9" or thereabouts. Doesn't matter. Kim Willoughby and Victoria Prince were not at their listed height (Both weren't six feet) and they were very effective. Herring is an amazing player who seemed to hit more effectively from the back row than the front row. At least it was true in the finals of the Hawaii State championship game.

Congratulations to Kanani Herring and the University of Hawaii. I love the undersized OHs that have made their mark like Angie Pressey at Cal and my personal favorite, Dariam Acevedo at Texas (just to name a few).

It's always nice to have homegrown talent stay at home. Congrats to Ms Herring and the Rainbow Wahine.
