Thanks for posting these Spike. I am not as big a fan of the men's game, and didn't know many of these programs had teams.

I like having results in one place so I can try to figure out the level of play for the teams.

I was under the misconception that Ohio St. was good this year. Losing horrendously to an average (being nice) UCSD is pretty telling.

Question: Is CSUN that good this year or are the other teams weaker than usual? They beat LaVerne, which altho a D3 program, has always been pretty powerful. Also took on UCSB and won. So, what's up?

CSUN isn't that good this year or maybe USC is looking up. Just look at the scores from their match. USC killed them in games 1 and 3, and should have won game five if not for two bad calls by the ref at the end of the match. USC matched or did better than CSUN in every aspect of the game, and they were starting two fresh. and two soph, pretty much a young team.
It should be interesting to see who wins when USC plays UCSB, since UCSB was ranked in the top ten, and SC isn't ranked. By the way is it true that UCSB lost to Pepp 8-30 in one of their games?

I think there are only 22 teams(I wrote I think) at the Div I level...that's not much, should be more but with Title IX, budget cuts, schools cutting the teams(SDSU and LMU - two universities that fielded teams when men's vball started out) and Div I schools only keep the men's volleyball team at the club level there won't be that many teams. Wish there was more - ain't gonna happen. I am glad the school I cheer for was smart to reinstate volleyball when they irrationally and stupidly deleted the team.
