If you had read the "injuries" thread you would see this was already mentioned yesterday. Does missing one practice really warrant it's own thread with this misleading title?
I guess we can look forward to a thread for every ankle tweaking, missed one practice or flu like symptoms all season long. Sigh.

I have a life thank you very much. However, just for the sake of enlightening others, I will also post a new thread every time I take a crap. Your welcome.

Of course, you have to catch it early. Nickie should try Longs Drugs.

Actually, you might wish to include the team name in the thread topic...

Yeah, Wolfgang, thanks for continuing to point out the "it's vs its" misuse on this board. You're fighting the good fight, brother.
Did you also notice that one poster who wrote "your" when he meant "you're"? You should say something to him about that, too.
Your may be thinking that its tiresome work to correct these peoples' spelling, but we commend you're efforts, and self-satisfaction is it's own reward, after all.

NIckie Thomas is really truly out for the season. It looks like we may be looking possibly toward another one of those injury-prone seasons, unfortunately... Thomas done for yearBy Cindy Luis Sad to report that Nickie Thomas is done for the year. Knew she hurt her knee Sunday but being cautious about the prognosis. UH made it official about 10 minutes ago. It’s an ACL and a medial meniscus on her left knee. last year’s acl was her right knee. it’s not unusual for that to happen. about 75 percent of athletes who have an acl end up with an acl on the other knee at some point. (i.e. former wahine basketball players Nani Cockett, Tania Brunton). It’s very sad because she worked so hard during the off season and was looking great. No word if she’ll be back for next year Looks more and more like Amanda Simmons will not be redshirted this season.

Hey, most of us won't be too concerned if you miss alot of the more common stuff like ankles or shin splints or sprains, etc. But definitely keep us in the loop if you hear about any nipple tweaking. ;D

Is the Cindy Luis thing some kind of blog? Seems weird if it was actually published in such short hand form.

This is very sad for Thomas. This is the third straight year she has been injured. While I would have loved to see her play more, I am hoping her volleyball career is over. This kind of injuries can come back to haunt you as you get older and I think she is better served letting her body rest.
As far as the middles, I would venture to guess that Simmons will not redshirt and probably Kaufman will move to the middle as well. I really like Kaufman in the middle, as she is really fast and reminds me of players like Prince who may not be tall but are very fast and athletic.

You're right, Kaufman's athleticism will be a tremendous asset to the Wahine. Her jumping abilities remind me of Meriwether (sp?), and although Kaufman's no where near Nana's ability, she could come close.
