naitsric, whered nebraska go? PALO ALTO: stanford def ucla 3-0 MADISON: nebraska def usc 3-2 STATE COLLEGE: penn st def hawaii 3-2 GAINESVILLE: texas def florida 3-0 idk how these regions line up so im gonna put my favorite final four. stanford def texas 3-0 all close games nebraska def penn st 3-2 back and forth battle stanford def nebraska 3-1 eerily similar to last years final but flipped Nebraska isn't going to make it this year. Their best OH is suffering from physical strains. Watched College Beach Ball this past weekend and although beach ball is different from indoor they should have dominated. Stanford's Barboza and Kehoe weren't exactly hitting harder and just burying the ball but using their heads and just tooling and dinking, etc. Nebraska's kills were mostly from Pavan burying the ball but really....I truly believe Hawaii has a chance against them. Our girls have the luxury of learning how to play ball from one of the most experienced and winningest coaches in college volleyball history. And he also fancies court vision and ball placement. Nebraska - no they won't make it this year. We have terminators on the outside one of which hits close to 6 kills per game. Nebraska isn't in a league of their own. I think Mary Wise will lead her girls back, USC will be there, Stanford of course, and Hawaii as well. I don't hear much about Hawaii from everyone's posts lately. No team should rest on their laurels. last year is gone and this year is a whole other ball game. take a trip down to hawaiiathletics.com, honolulustarbulletin.com and honoluluadvertiser.com. Read about what's going down here on the Island. We don't average 7,000 fans every night for nothing. ALOHA.....ball!

Is naitsric Hawaiian for rambling non-sense? Of course Hawaii has a chance against them, they are a great program. Pavan and Larson should have dominated, in the first beach event they ever played in? The Hawaii players have a great advantage of having one of the winningest coaches of all time, so does Nebraska, Stanford, Penn St, USC, and UCLA. Of course his teams develop vision and ball placement, that is their style of play, which is also conducive to the type of athletes they have. Why would we need to go to their website, newspaper,etc...? They are more than well represented on this board and not shy(nor should they be) about sharing their success. Hawaii hasn't been mentioned much because they really don't have great odds to get there this year. They might, they are a proud and competitive bunch, just not favorites to do so this year, which is the thread.

J/K "Conducive to the types of players he has"?....uh wha? So Kim Willougby, Tee Williams, Lily Kahumoku, Victoria Prince, Jamie Houston and Sarah Mason and others all needed to compensate for their lack of hitting ability and concentrate on other ways to get kills? What the heck are you talking about?

Is naitsric Hawaiian for rambling non-sense? No, but it is a backwards misspelling of the name "Cristian". Which pretty much tells you all you need to know.

Wearing T-shirts that say "2007 natl champs in training" is a different approach. I like it. Its kind of like when we reach a point in our lives spiritually, and we realize that we had "victory" all along but the "fears" that were instilled in us make us hold back. Once we realize that we already are victorious, we aren't approaching situations wondering if we will ultimately conquer them. We approach them knowing we are already going to win - all we have to do is make the necessary changes to implement the victory. I like this strategy.

Why isn't Florida getting more respect here?
They have an AA setter, OH and Middle.
However maybe it's better to not have everyone gunning for them as they would if they were ranked in the top 4.
Does Texas really match up better?

Does Texas really match up better? Florida has a good shot, however bearing a meltdown from Stanford or Penn State, they have a 50-50 chance of getting Nebraska sent to their regional and that doesn't bode well for the Gators, even if they do have the home court advantage.
