Pretty impressed with Utah; better than expected. They stayed pretty competitive throughout the match, despite all of their key personnel losses. The setting needs some work, but I can see how they might be able to become a possible sweet 16 at probably about #16 at the end of the season.
Good Luck to their season.
UCLA is more than beatable. Their floor defense in the earlier part of the match was pretty impressive. Johnson is probably UCLA's next best player after Spicer, of course.
Hawaii might have a very good chance against them next week, if everything that's been said of the Wahine so far is true.

not the greatest volleyball, but hey, it's the beginning of the season. i think machado did way better as libero than fine did. ucla's blocking was great, then again, utah's hitting wasn't great. i'd like to see more power out of johnson off the slide. i really liked dicey mcgraw's play. i think she'll be seeing a lot of the court during the season. she has a fast, powerful swing.
