Barbers Point NAS is no more, you are correct. (BTW, the State of Hawaii has done a butt crappy job maintaining the area since the Feds turned it over to them). But alot of the base housing both on main base and at Iroqouis Point is still open. But...I guess the dependents from main base would go to Kapolei H.S. now.
Drove through the base to take a shortcut to Coral Creek GC when I was home on vacation last month, and the place looks like crap.

I'm I the only person that appreciates Marlowe? I think Marlowe is awesome. I met him and told him that once too. He even remembered me, a year after that one five minute meeting, in Dallas.

I think next time I see Marlowe, I'm gonna call him "Sven" and see how he reacts. www.imdb.com/name/nm0549264/Bonus question: What other well-known beach volleyball star of yesteryear had a credited performance as "Jock #2" in a mainstream (non-volleyball) Hollywood movie?

The rest of the land is owned by the Department of Hawaiian Home lands but you're right, the area doesn't look great. The only nice thing about driving through Kalaeloa on Geiger road is seeing all the Keawe trees. Some of the housing areas are occupied but far more are empty. Coral Creek Golf Course? The Hawai'i Prince is right across Ft Weaver Road, Mo' bettah.

If you are talking about the movie Side Out I believe both Randy Stoklos and Sinjin Smith were in the movie. I am going to guess that Jock #2 was Randy Stoklos.

I like Chris Marlowe and his commentary. He was a terrific player in his day (I'll mention it here much to his chagrin, 1972) and he is a very nice person. Heather on the other hand is his opposite. Impersonable, uninformed and make incredible comments, that make me wonder why she is doing the commentary. I like Leahy and McLauglin too.

Side-out was a volleyball movie and Randy Stoklos' character was named "Rolo." It is incredibly sad I know that because that movie was horrible.

My new favorite ESPN all time live-goof was tonight.
You all remember when ESPN was doing the 4 BYU guys are married bit...and all the wives sit together away from family and friends.
The director must have a great sense of humor when he then showed the "wife section" and 12 of them were sitting there.
How funny.

How funny. vb, did you catch when stupid ass Chris Marlow talked about how Jon Alleman is planning to go to law school after he graduates, and then on his pre taped interview, he said he wants to be a CPA. And Alleman's wife (singular not plural) is HOT.

And yeah, Alleman's wife is very pretty.

Sure is quiet this year.
In years past, the forums were busy....not this year. I wonder why? Actually, the game was one of the classics. I know we all like to take our shots at BYU (myself included) but I thought it was all in good fun. Now I am not so sure.
If the Dallas Cowboys are "America's Team" could BYU be the "Anti-America's Team?"
