Bold prediction, wisconsin in 5. I'm still trying to remember the last time Hawaii was in a Final Four. i I'll give you a little hint, it's more recent than either Wisconsin or Penn State.

Big 10 fans like to tout their conference and make fun of other conferences like the WAC but the fact of the matter is that the Big 10, with all its "talent", has nothing to show for it outside of conference play. How many final four appearences, regional final appearences have Big 10 teams made since 2000? Final Four Appearances: 3 2004 - Minnesota 2003 - Minnesota 2000 - Wisconsin So since the 2000 season, Hawai'i has as many final four appearences as the ENTIRE Big 10 Conference? Thanks for proving my point. Thanks for ignoring the other ranking methods you proposed, where HI falls flat. By the way... learn to use the quote function, doof.

Thanks for proving my point. Here's a point to consider, that's probably slightly more relevant due to the fact that it's not ancient history. As long as you have your record book open, what's Hawaii's record been against the Big Ten teams the last four years? 4-4. I should add the Big 10's tally includes Wisconsin's lucky win in 2004 and Michigan's lucky win earlier this year. Hawai'i is 6-5 against the Big 10 since 2000 You still lose bomber!

You mean Hawaii has been in more than 10 regional finals in the last 7 seasons? And here it was that I thought you'd been in four regional finals during that period -- 2000, 2002, 2003, and 2006. So Hawai'i has been in 4 regional finals since 2000? looking at your list, no Big 10 team has that many, thanks for proving my point.

Michigan's lucky win? They 'd played Hawaii on their home court, for crissakes. Wisconsin's lucky win?? They started three frosh that match, and for much of the match had four frosh on the floor. Face it....Hawaii is becoming more irrelevant every year.....

Hawai'i started a new setter in Brandt which did not train with the team that much, had no experience with the Hawai'i system, Some players coming back from last season injuries in Hittle and a 5'11 OH hitter also new to the system. But I'm not about to make excuses, because Michigan obviously played their hearts out in that match and it came down to who wanted it the most. Wisconsin will never be as successful as Hawai'i has present and past neither will Minnesota. So lets just face it bomber rat!.....Wisconsin is just a newbie!.....far behind Power House HAWAI'I.....History tells more than you think whether present or past!....Thanks!....

Face it....Hawaii is becoming more irrelevant every year..... Yes Michigan was lucky that Hawai'i played an awful match and that Houston was out of the lineup for the majority of the match. Hawai'i played the Badgers IN WISCONSIN without their starting Libero and after excessive travel in the 2004 post season. The Badgers had to play the best match of their lives to just to manage a two point 5 game victory over the Wahine...if that isn't luck, I don't know what is. Irrelevent would be the Big 10 Conference, who have managed but ONE Natinal Title title in its history.

This whole sad rationale "My team is better than your team, therefore, I am better than you," is so sophomoric. Unfortunately, it appears to be so central to your identity that you cannot differentiate yourself from hoarding personal credit and self-importance from a team that you do not personally play for, a team whose results, whether positive or negative, have nothing to do with you. I am not saying you cannot be proud of the team, like I am for mine, but using history to prove some feigned point is merely histrionics.

Regional Final Appearances: 10 2000 - Penn State 2000 - Wisconsin 2003 - Penn State 2003 - Minnesota 2004 - Minnesota 2004 - Ohio State 2004 - Wisconsin 2005 - Wisconsin 2006 - Minnesota 2006 - Penn State So Hawai'i has been in 4 regional finals since 2000? looking at your list, no Big 10 team has that many, thanks for proving my point. Please educate me about the WAC. Are there 4 teams that have been to the regional finals since 2000? Are there 3 teams that have been to the regional finals 3 times since 2000? The Big10 has more teams capable of going deep in the tourney than the WAC. (I deduced that the conference is tough) I like Hawai'i VB, but I'm not a fan of the WAC. I like PSU, Wisconsin (& Minnesota) VB and I'm a fan of the entire Big10.
