All I can say is that Bush is lucky that the election isn't tomorrow. If it were, he would almost certainly lose, probably by a pretty substantial margin. He's already trailing in the polls and most undecided voters usually vote for the challenger. Since 80% or more of voters have already made up their minds there just isn't much room for Bush to gain support.

Let's take a look at Bush's record:

Connection between Saddam and Al-Queda-No
WMD Found-No
Soldiers greeted as liberators-No
World safer from terrorism-No

Iraq is a quagmire-yes
Gas prices higher-yes
Stock market down-yes

There are others but these are just those I thought of off the top of my head. This certainly isn't much of a record to run on.

Here's the deal: I wouldn't vote for W in the first place, because I think his politics suck.

But, on top of that, he's incompetent. He can't even accomplish what he WANTS to accomplish. Even with Congress and the media lying down for him.

What are you talking about? It had nothing to do with "timing." He was going to lower the taxes when there was a surplus ("It's YOUR money). He went ahead and lowered them even as the economy went into the tank. I don't believe we are experiencing "good" economic news. Better, maybe. It couldn't have gotten much worse. His "offensive" strategy has backfired. He attacked the wrong country--not that a country needed to be attacked in the first place.
